In 1988, Richard Wilker Sr. purchased a small service dry cleaner in the Monfort Heights area. Richard and his wife Virginia worked hard in many different businesses to support their six children; Donna, Richard Jr, Jerome, Thomas, Joseph and Mary. The dry cleaners seemed to be a good business for the family. Whenever possible the older children would work in the store after school.
Later Richard purchased a building about a mile away in White Oak and opened Dutch Girl Cleaners, a franchise of Dry Cleaners. The store was state of the art, back in its day (1972) and has evolved over the years into Robinson Cleaners.
Robinson Cleaners has expanded in the Greater Cincinnati areas and now serves Wyoming, Glendale, Woodlawn, White Oak, Monfort Heights, Tri-County, Fairfield, Springdale and West Chester.
